NSW Firearms Licence Test

Applying for a NSW Firearms Licence is a simple process.  

 

Step 1: Obtain an application form from the NSW Firearms Registry and familarise yourself with the genuine reasons for obtaining a licence. Click here for more details.    

 

Step 2:   Download and study the Fireamrs (Longarms) Users Guide.   Click on the link below and then scroll down to the heading "Firearms Safety Training Course Participants" near the bottom of the page.  The guide is the first link under that heading.

Step 3: Familarise yourself with the information inside the safe storage level one fact sheet and the transport of firearms fact sheet.   The fact sheets can be found at the following link.   The links to the fact sheets are near the top of the page.

Step 4: Book yourself into our next test by filling in the form below.  

 

Our club conducts NSW Firearms (Longarms) Qualification Course for applicants of NSW Firearms Licence.   Course cost is $100.00 for adults and $50.00 for minors / pensioners.   The course takes approx 1 hour to complete.  Payment by personal cheque, bank cheque or cash.   If you join our club within 3 months of the test, adults will receive a one off $50.00 discount towards the membership fee.   Minors / pensioners will receive a one off $25.00 discount towards the membership fee.  

 

Upon successful completion of the test, you will receive a 'Completion Certificate'. With this certificate, you may proceed with the application of a Firearms Licence.  

 

Please note that you will NOT be firing any firearms during this course. The practical section consists of firearms handling, using dummy rounds.


Preparing for the course & what to bring:
You will need to bring a photo ID such as driver licence.  We recommend you bring a pen, dress warmly, as our club house can be quite cool during the winter months.

Where we are located:
Our club is located on Campbell Pde, in Manly Vale. Driving North on Pittwater Road, turn right into Campbell Pde. Drive (almost) to the end, and our club is located on the left, just after the Calabria Bowling Club.
